Testing Items and Technical Principles:

Material Safety Verification: Testing seat fabrics and fillings for heavy metal content (such as lead and cadmium) and hazardous substance release (such as formaldehyde) in accordance with ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) standards to ensure compliance with EU environmental regulations.

Mechanical Structure Testing: A static pressure tester is used to apply 1.5 times the rated load (e.g., a seat rated for 100kg must withstand 150kg of pressure) to the seat frame for 24 hours. Deformation is detected to verify structural strength, ensuring it does not exceed the standard value of 3mm.

Ergonomic Verification: A pressure distribution imaging system is used to measure force uniformity in different sitting postures (e.g., upright and reclining). Peak pressure in the lumbar spine is monitored to ensure it does not exceed 2.5kPa to prevent lumbar fatigue or injury from long-term use.

Environmental Adaptability Testing: Key components (such as plastics and metal connectors) undergo cyclic testing in a temperature chamber ranging from -30°C to 70°C, simulating usage scenarios under extreme climate conditions and ensuring product lifespan.

Performance Verification and Industry Standards:

The initial safety test achieved a 93% compliance rate, with key inspection items covering material safety, structural strength, and basic functionality.

Durability testing required seat hinges to withstand 20,000 folding cycles, with a wear rate of less than 0.15mm/thousand cycles, complying with ISO 10542 (Durability Requirements for Wheelchairs and Accessories).

A vibration table test simulated the vibration environment experienced in a vehicle. Some products experienced loose armrest connectors. By adding a retaining pin, the overall compliance rate increased to 87.4%.
